4 Major Tips for Ecommerce Web Design Usability

1
A user friendly website defines the conversion rate of the customers at a website. Especially when we talk about an ecommerce web design, highly usable ideas are the most successful ones. People here are looking for shopping as soon as they enter a website. Search engine only filters out the interested customers out of the lot; rest of the work is on the shoulders of an ecommerce website developer.
If he makes the process frictionless and smooth interested customers are easily convinced to buy a product. Otherwise they would move on to the next search engine result. Here are a few for ecommerce web design usability:

  1. Design a layout that is clean and avoid messy layouts. A clearly defined path out retain customers. If the customers don’t get directed to the place they want to be in they would not waste their time in moving on to another website.
  2. Add a search button on the site so that if they land on a wrong page they can search it on the same webpage.
  3. Make categories and sub categories sorted out by name, specs etc. add navigation to these so that people can search the desired brands and product easily.
  4. Closing of a sale should be very simple and easy for all. The one place you will lose ecommerce customers with bad web design is in the checkout process. Make sure that the confirmation process of a sale is simple and not complicated.
